How to play Mahjong Solitaire.
Mahjong Solitaire uses the 34 traditional Mahjong tiles (characters, circles, bamboo, winds and dragons) in a single-player matching puzzle. It is different from four-player Mahjong, and you can learn it in one board.
- Find a free tileNothing covers it and at least one side is open.
- Match the pairChoose another free tile with the same symbol.
- Clear the boardReveal new layers until every tile is gone.

Five habits that turn a tricky layout into a clean board. More strategy in the guide.
- Free the tall stacks firstTiles on top of high stacks and at the ends of long rows hide the most tiles. Clearing them opens the board fastest.
- Think before taking the easy pairWhen three identical tiles are free, match the two that uncover more tiles and keep the third for later.
- Clear full sets without worryingWhen every remaining copy of a tile is free, match them straight away. There is no wrong choice.
- Leave the floor for laterSingle tiles lying on the bottom layer usually block nothing, so they can wait.
- Use a hint when stuckEvery board is dealt with a solution. A hint shows a pair you can still match.

What is Mahjong Solitaire?
Mahjong Solitaire is a single-player tile-matching puzzle. You remove identical pairs of free tiles until the board is clear. It uses Mahjong tiles, but it is a different game from traditional four-player Mahjong, which is played by drawing and discarding tiles to build a winning hand.
Is Mahjong 2-Players & Solitaire free?
Yes. The game is free to download and play. It contains ads, including optional rewarded ads you can watch for an extra hint, and it has no in-app purchases.
Can I play Mahjong offline?
Yes. All 500 Classic Mahjong Solitaire levels can be played offline. Online access is needed for private 2-player matches and connected services.
How do I play 2-player Mahjong with a friend?
Open 2 Players and choose Start Game to create a private room, then share its room code. Your friend chooses Join Game and enters the code. You play the same board, take timed turns matching pairs, and the player with the most pairs wins.
Is every board solvable?
Every board is dealt with at least one solution. If you can't spot a move, a hint shows you a pair that can still be matched.
How do hints work?
Every puzzle includes one free hint. After that, a hint costs 20 coins, which you earn by clearing Classic levels for the first time. If you don't have enough coins, you can watch an optional ad for one.
Which tiles are used?
The game uses the 34 traditional Mahjong tile types: characters, circles and bamboo numbered 1 to 9, the four winds and the three dragons. Only identical tiles match.
What can I collect?
There are 30 illustrated badges. Finish Level 4 to earn the first one, Sakura Blossom, then complete Daily Puzzles to unlock the rest, from Lotus to the Jade Dragon and Moonlit Garden.
